Happy Birthday JB!

On Wednesday, 16th July 2025, we celebrated Just Beauty’s 30th birthday.

It was a beautiful sunny day, and we spent the morning preparing for our open afternoon. There was cake, bubbly, and goodie bags I’d put together for everyone who stopped by. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces, including some from when I first started the business. Not long after opening the door, we were visited by Paul Brooks, the Deputy Mayor of Cromer, and Mark Northway, the town crier, who presented me with a celebratory plaque. Along with several other guests, we headed down to the sunken gardens (away from the traffic noise) where Mark gave a ‘cry’ to mark the occasion. Several hours and many bottles of Prosecco later (none for me though!), I got tidied up ready for the next day of treatments before I was taken out to dinner at The Red Lion—a perfect way to end a truly special day.

Over the past 30 years, I’ve loved every moment of owning and working at Just Beauty. There’s never a dull day—trends have come and gone, sometimes reappearing with a new name (who would have thought ‘lash perming’ would make a comeback as ‘lash lifting’ and be so popular? Maybe the world just wasn’t ready to perm their eyelashes back then!). I feel so fortunate and grateful for my loyal clients; I now see two, sometimes three generations of the same family, having known some even before I opened Just Beauty. Staff have come and gone, but I’ve stayed in touch with most of the amazing women I’ve employed, even those who’ve moved away. Out of all the  talented therapists I have known, Debbie has been with me the longest - an amazing 17 years! The salon has continued to grow along with, hopefully, our reputation.

My goal has always been to treat people the way I’d like to be treated, while constantly learning and bringing new and exciting treatments to JB.
